AW14: Sister Jane

With a collection entitled ‘Midnight Carousel’ it’s hard not to get excited over the latest offering from Sister Jane. Inspired by forgotten kingdoms, magical ornate carousels, winter nights and festive parties, this beautiful take on winter dressing is something we should all get involved in. The collection features a mix of textures from sheepskin and shaggy fur coats to jacquard, rich velvets and holiday party essential, sequins. The colours are the epitome of luxury – rich plums and reds sit alongside winter classics such as greys, black and white with a touch of metallic thrown in for good measure. Just stunning. We love how they have contrasted rich velvets and lace with more modern fabrics like faux leather, fringing and pompoms. A touch of something different.

With all those Christmas do’s coming up, it’s time to get outfit planning. This is the time of year when we are on the lookout for extra special pieces to add to our wardrobe and we think we’ve spotted a few here. Go for one of the show-stopper pieces such as the fringed ‘Halcyon’ dress or fancy up day time with a contrast collar shirt. You’re bound to find something to add a little sparkle. Let’s not forget, this is possibly the only time of year when you can get away with dressing so fabulously day AND night!
