I love to travel and am often daydreaming of the next must see destination at home and abroad. Read on to discover my favourite places of the moment.
I’ve wanted to visit this cafe for ages, and it did not disappoint! Come with me and take a look at the Anya Cafe in London’s SW1 where you can eat Monster cakes and even your sugar cubes have eyes on them.
Welcome to the 3rd and final honeymoon instalment, I hadn’t intended for it to be three posts, but turns out I have a lot to say about each stop of our trip. We had two nights 2 in Laguna Beach, 3 nights in Palm Springs and were finishing up with 4 nights in LA itself.
I definitely did not cry on the drive in to Palm Springs, as one of the songs from our wedding came on randomly….ok fine, I wept like a baby. It’s like no place I have ever been, THE PALM TREES, THE BLUE SKY, THE ARCHITECTURE!
As the saying goes: I am not sad it’s over, just happy it happened, I look back at these photos and still can’t believe it! For our honeymoon, we did a ten day trip around some parts of South California, and it was everything I wanted it to be and more.
Well they say a change is as good as a rest, and this weekend was definitely one of those where a change of scenery did me the world of good. I headed down to Kingsdown in Kent and I’d like warn you the following post will make you want to move to the seaside!
Cambridge, let me count the ways I love thee, it’s my 3rd visit to this picturesque city and it never gets old. Wandering around, it feels I am the star of my very own Hollywood picture, everywhere looks like a dreamy film set with the most beautiful architecture as a dramatic backdrop. A truly a lovely place for a 24 hour getaway.
I had no idea how many I’d bookmarked until I was let loose in California, here is what I think is worth bringing home in your suitcase.
Back in April we went to visit the Lake District and stayed at The Swan Hotel & Spa in Newby Bridge. As a Lake District newbie I fell head over heels straight away. Find out more about my stay and the cutest kitchen I’ve ever seen…
After just getting back from my second visit to Bath, here is a much requested blog post of things to do and see in the city. You can get to Bath in 1.5 hours from London Paddington by train and it feels like no time at all!
Looking to plan a girly day in London? Columbia Road and The Ned are the perfect combination of old school glamour and pampering combined for a truly indulgent and fun day out.
In late October I went to Kalkan, Turkey for just over a week. I’ve had so many people want to know more about it since I returned that I thought it would a perfect topic for a blog post. Dreaming of my next holiday for sure!
Welcome to my third and final instalment of places to visit on the South East coast with Southeastern. Last and by no means least is Whitstable, my first seaside love!

I’m going to share with you a few of my favourite places in this very sweet spot, where pastel coloured doors are a plenty.
Brighton is one of the first seaside places I fell for, after my hometown of Cleethorpes. Being just over an hour train ride from London, it was the first seaside town I used to escape the hectic-ness of London for when I had the chance. Discover some of my new favourite gems.
Looking for a winter seaside break, then look no further than my hometown of Margate. Here is a run down of some of my favourite places.
My address book for Copenhagen, including the finest bakeries, micro breweries and a whole shop dedicated to Cacti - you'll be booking your next city break in no time.
This is the second time I have been to Amsterdam in just over six months, and now I am smitten with the city. Here I share my favourite places in this very chilled out city.
Budapest is somewhere our friends and we had often discussed visiting, and after finally going last weekend we’re not sure why we didn’t go sooner. Discover how to spend a long weekend in this beautiful city.
This was probably the most indulgent way to visit Venice but the Local Milk Retreat was really worth the expense. Not only did we stay in a private palazzo (it’s location is a secret as this is still a family home) that was 100s of years old.
Our food editor Catherine didn’t need much convincing to head to Berlin on her recent city break.
We don’t know about you, but we have been on quite a few weekends away in the UK over the years, we’ve been in the Cotswolds for friend’s birthdays, Liverpool for hen dos (yeah we did, and we LOVED it), and Suffolk for general any-excuse catch ups.
To kick-start our new year’s resolution to wear more print (surely it’s the easiest way to brighten up a drab, dark and dry January), we finally got along to the Fashion and Textile Museum’s Liberty in Fashion exhibition – and found out it’s about much more than paisley and pattern.
Come with me as I stay in The Lime Tree Hotel, in SW1. The hotel is both as beautiful inside and out, created from two Georgian town houses, it has 27 rooms, ranging from single occupancy, to twins and large doubles.
