The Lime Tree Hotel, London

When I go to London I always end up staying in the same hotel, I’m not even sure why because the location isn’t that convenient and price wise it’s not always value for money. When The Lime Tree Hotel reached out to me to come and spend the night there, I jumped at the chance!
I’m so glad to have been pushed out of my hotel comfort zone, as the location of this hotel is just perfect. Located in SW1, it’s a short walk from Victoria station (and we all know the Victoria Line in the best tube line), and is nestled on the edge of the most lovely neighbourhood you might be familiar with, Belgravia.
I visit the capital often and most of my meetings, shoots and other business are all done within zone one. Now I don’t live in London, it gives me the opportunity to stay places I probably wouldn’t otherwise. I’ve seen the light and I’ll be residing in SW1 more frequently. It feels really homely, and the London you see in so many films, and being directly opposite one of Instagram’s most popular cake shops is an added bonus.
The hotel is just as beautiful inside and out. Created from two Georgian town houses, it has 27 rooms, ranging from single occupancy, to twins and large doubles. The room rates, I think for London really reasonable, starting at £125 and ranging up to £310 for a generous double. The quality of everything from the sheets, to the towels and extra detail such as enough hangers, fans for cooling the room down, has been thought of. Each bathroom contains Bramley products, which is always a good sign.
It really felt cosy staying there, not like a lot of soul-less hotels, mostly because the rooms feel so nice and the staff were super helpful. Downstairs you can go for breakfast or lunch in The Buttery, with seasonal plates, the brightest of egg yolks and flakey pastries to start your day off right.
I am lucky enough to stay in a few nice hotels, and I have already looked at coming back and rebooking this one, it’s a real gem to have in your London address book.
I was able to walk to most places I needed, and another bonus of being in SW1 is Black cabs are a plenty, so if you did need to go anywhere or want to give your feet a rest most places are £7/£8 away in a cab.
If you want to take a look at The Lime Tree Hotel, be quick as their rooms for 2022 are booking up fast, and it's not hard to see why when they have their own private garden you can eat out in too. Thank you so much for welcoming me for my stay, and I am sure I'll see you again very soon!
